Maharashtra Invites Bids to Set Up 50 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has issued a tender to install 50 electric vehicle charging stations in the state. These charging stations will be spread across seven locations. The brief scope of work includes the planning, designing, engineering, supply, testing, erection, and commissioning of the charging stations. The successful bidder will get three months to execute the project and must provide comprehensive on-site warranty for five years. According to the tender notice, charging stations should be compatible with Bharat DC-001 charger specification. The last date for the submission of bids is February 20, 2019. Technical bids will open on the same date. The estimated cost of the project is ?10 million (~$0.14 million). To propel the growth of EVs in India, many government and private companies have taken the initiative to establish charging stations.
