Tenders called for 6-laning of Mysuru Road

The proposed Bengaluru-Mysuru six-laning project is inching towards becoming a reality with the National Highways Authority of India floating a tender for the development of the road.
Tender for taking up works on the 117.03-km stretch on National Highway 275 was floated on December 6. Online bidding will close on January 5 at 5 pm. NHAI has divided the project works, to be taken up on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis, into two packages.
The first package is the six-laning of Bengaluru-Nidaghatta section (km 18 to km 74.200 of NH-275). The project cost of this 56.200-km stretch is Rs 2,196.07 crore.
The second package is for the six-laning of Nidaghatta-Mysuru section (km 74.20 to km 135.304 of NH-275). The project cost of this 61.104-km stretch is Rs 2,299.03 crore. NHAI requires 2,220 acres of land to develop the six lanes and four service roads.
