The tenders floated by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to ask bids for the work of removing silt from the drains before monsoons has a poor response. Most contractors stayed faraway from filling the tenders because of a condition place by the BMC that the contractors will have find area to dump the silt, as none of the 3 dumping grounds will accommodate the silt.
