The Global Programme Migration & Diaspora (PMD) was commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in 07/2019. It is run under the umbrella of the Center for International Migration and Development, which is jointly implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the International and Specialized Services (ZAV) of the German Federal Employment Agency (BA).

The programme is to be rolled out in up to 25 partner countries. The focus in India is to use the expertise of Diaspora members as well as organisations in Germany to support the implemention of development projects in India.

For a new component within the programme in India, PMD is seeking the services of a specialized firm or a consortium of firms to provide incubation support to selected social start-ups.The firm needs to carry out the following activities:

• To provide support for selection of the ideas during the annual pitch day event held in Germany
• To provide individual mentoring and incubation support to selected start-ups supported by the programme
• To help connect the start-ups with right funders
• To share regular project updates with the project coordinator at GIZ India
