TENDER NOTICE FOR
ENGAGING A MARKET RESEARCH COMPANY TO CONDUCT A MARKET
ASSESSMENT OF ELECTRIC COOKING DEVICES IN INDIA THROUGH PRIMARY AND
SECONDARY RESEARCH

The Indo-German Energy Programme (IGEN Access - II) is a bilateral cooperation project carried out
by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the
German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Indian Ministry
of New and Renewable Energy. IGEN Access - II aims to improve the energy supply in rural areas of
selected federal states. The programme is being implemented over a period of three years (April 2019
– March 2022). BMZ has commissioned GIZ with the implementation of the project. GIZ is a federal
enterprise based in Eschborn and Bonn, Germany.
The IGEN-Access-II programme intends to conduct a study to assess the potential of electric cooking
in India. One part of this assessment is the analysis of the supply side through primary and secondary
research on electric cooking devices. The analysis is expected to cover all regions of India and
provide important insights on the challenges, sales, trends and market conditions with regard to
electric cooking. The assignment needs to be completed in 6 months.
