for

engaging a mini/micro grid practitioner/promoter/enabler to demonstrate pilots on enhancing rural livelihoods by utilising the services of mini/micro grids powered with renewable energy.

The Indo-German Energy Programme (IGEN Access - II) is a bilateral cooperation project carried out by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. IGEN Access - II aims to improve the energy supply in rural areas of selected federal states. The programme is being implemented over a period of three years (April 2019 – March 2022). BMZ has commissioned GIZ with the implementation of the project. GIZ is a federal enterprise based in Eschborn and Bonn, Germany.

The IGEN-Access-II programme intends to engage an orgnisation to carry out pilots on ground to showcase increased utilization of the services from mini/micro grid for livelihood promotion.

The focus areas for the intervention is to showcase different livelihoods options powered with existing or new mini/micro grids in the eastern part of India including Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Tripura and, Jharkhand (others with proper justification). The assignment needs to be completed in 15 months.
